My name is Danica Wolfe and I am delighted to be your child's 3rd grade teacher at Oakhurst STEAM Academy! I was born in San Diego, California, but grew up in Matthews, North Carolina where I attended Metrolina Christian Academy. Upon graduating, I went to Covenant College and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. I spent my first five years teaching in DC Public Schools where I taught 3rd and 4th grade. I then spent one year teaching for Union County Public Schools and am now in my first year teaching for Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. I am thrilled to be a part of the inaugural year for Oakhurst STEAM Academy and I look forward to seeing this school become a true school of choice in the District. I am passionate about teaching and equipping children to become lifelong learners and responsible citizens in the 21st century.
